• Hill Country News Subscription Contest : We won last year (and all prior years!)! Let's see if we can do it again this year! HCN will donate $500.00 to the LISD school with the most subscriptions. The $32.00 subscription gets you the HCN twice a week and CPHS Band gets $10.00. HCN is always supportive of our program. Read it for the latest coverage of the band. History and Awards

Cedar Park High School opened in 1998 and from the beginning the band has been recognized as one of the best in the state. A few of the awards over the years include:

• Westlake Marching Festival Grand Champion - 2004 and 2005
• Carrollton Tournament of Champions 2003 - 2nd Overall, Best in Class (Division I): Music and General Effect Caption Awards
• Bands of America Super Regional - 2003 9th place overall out of 57 bands. 2004 4th of 47 bands
• Duncanville Marching Festival Grand Champion - Preliminaries and Finals - 2002 (First year of 5A)
• Texas State UIL Class 4A Marching Band Champion - 2001 (Youngest school to ever achieve this victory in the State of Texas.)
• Texas State UIL Class 5A Silver Medalist - 2004
• Carrollton Tournament of Champions Grand Champion - 2001
• Westlake Marching Festival Class 4 A Champion - 2000, tied for 2nd place overall. 2004 Grand Champion
• UIL State Finalist - 8th place - Area D Marching Champion- 1999 (Youngest school to ever participate at the state level)

• Capital City Marching Festival - 1998 best in class, 1999 class AAA 2nd place

• UIL Sweepstake Award - 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002
